Re: Tour Reports 2010

Hi folks,

A great show at the Apollo in London on Sunday & good to see Paul Casey on stage with the band. I will write a review here soon.

Re: Let's play a game

I know Chris played guitar on one of Maggie Riely's songs and she is Scottish but I'm not sure if it was in the 80's :?

For those who don't know, Maggie Riely is the voice on Mike Oldfields hit 'Moonlight Shadow'

Re: Let's play a game

Was it Sister Rosetta Tharp? (Unsure if I spelt her name correct)

If I'm right then my question is.....On which Chris Rea song can the sound of a train blowing it's whistle be heard?

If my answer is wrong then ignore my question :)

Re: Whats that?

It's a guy called Peter hove? Saying what his top 10 favourite albums are.

If you browse the internet through Google Jutta then right click on a page, click on 'properties' and click on 'translate' then it will translate the page into the language you are browsing in :)

Introducing.....

we have members on here from all over the world, which of course is a great testament to Chris's music, and I thought it might be good for us to introduce other artists from our own part of the globe which other members may not have heard of and you never know you might get a few converts. Anyway he...

Hi Bart,

I hope you had a good holiday. :)

Did you get chance to see Mark on his current tour? I know he played 3 concerts in the Netherlands.

Re: Fool if you think it's over - The definitive greatest hits

I love the new versions of the old tunes :D and I think this could be the best compilation since NLTOW I'm as bad as the rest of you in always wanting new material but I think we should be grateful in what we have as I can't currently think of any other artist who has released as many albums as Chri...

Re: Awesome Guitar!

The only disappointing thing about the song is the length of it. I think, as someone else stated on the comments, that it seems to end just when it's really getting started but maybe it's meant to do that to leave us wanting more? 8)

Awesome Guitar!

For those who don't have the album that this song came from, as it was never released as a single, I thought I would post this live version. It's one of those songs I could listen to again and again and it sounds even better each time! Dire Straits - You & Your Friend. http://uk.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Vacation...

Enjoy your holiday Bart and everyone else.

I've spent this evening surfing the Internet looking for a house to rent on the beach on the Greek island of Skiathos. We've not been there before so I've e-mailed a few places and just need to wait to see what's available.

Re: Listening to Everything or just Old or New??

I listen to old and new and having recently bought Tennis, Shamrock Diaries and Watersign on CD (I have only had these albums on tape for years) I have been listening to them a lot recently. The only albums which don't or very rarely get a look in are TRTHP2, DDTSR and the Delmots CD but apart from ...

John Mayer anyone?

Do we have any John Mayer fans on here? I didn't know much about him until I saw his performance, on TV, at Glastonbury this year and I must say I was blown away by his guitar playing. Quite a young chap as well so is he going to bring the appeal of Blues music to a modern day younger audience? Let'...
