Re: Chris his new double album and singles/tour etc

'til 'King of the Beach' it would be easy to compile a 'chronicles' set. This selection is far from interesting. Selecting two tracks out of approx 150 Blue Guitars/Blue Notes is quite impossible. Btw. Chris should quit releasing 'official compilations'. THis is the second one in a row. And again, I...

Re: Chris his new double album and singles/tour etc

What a lot of complaining about nothing. Some here think Chris is one of those few artists who releases a 'best of' album every single year. Fact is that there have been only four 'best of' albums that fit the Chris Rea canon: - New Light Through Old Windows (1988), - the best of Chris Rea (1994), -...

Re: experience

I like his songs much. So, I went to the concert last night 25.03.2006. I'm a student and the ticket was too expensive, so I left. :? I was at last nights concert as well... there were still tickets available at the normal prices at the ticket office. I had bought a ticket on the internet for 90 eu...

You could have checked the internet what a ticket would have cost you...
After all, it was probably your last chance to see Chris Rea live and it was worth every penny.

Indeed it was a great concert. Chris and his band really enjoyed playing, and his 'Blue Guitars' work is perfect concert material.
One of the highlights was the varied 'I Can Hear Your Hearbeat'.

Why didn't Chris play 'Moon River'? Out of tune???

Btw. Bart, where did they film the concert?

I'm going to the concert on March 22 at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam.
However I'm student from the south of Holland who's got to travel by train. Does anybody how long the concerts last('cause of the long road back home)? I read in a couple of concert reviews, about 2 hours?

I don't shed tears, but there are a lot of moving songs which gave me goose bumps.. I'm still in the exploration stage... there are so many songs. Maybe the tears come a bit later... (like the 'Blue Street' album) 'Big White Door comes close. Chris, thanks for this massive and personal blues odyssey.
