Re: Hi from Brisbane Australia

Hi Colin Great to hear you are going to the 2012 concert, I'm very envious. I'm from Auckland, New Zealand and flew to Dublin to see Chris in 2010 thanks to my friend and fellow admirer Tina making this possible. I haven't booked to come over in 2012 but as the days tick by I am getting more and mor...

Re: Brand new studio album & box set June 13th 2011

I need some advice. I would really like to have this latest album and box set but don't know where or who I should approach to get it. Being in New Zealand it might take some time to get here, if at all but don't want to order it through the likes of Amazon or Rhino to find out later (as has happene...

Re: The Forum and your posts

Hi Jim I check on the site from time to time but I admit not on the daily basis I used to when it was humming along. Let's hope it will start being more active now that he is putting out a new album. But interesting, tonight I am sitting here on my computer with the TV going on in the background wat...

Re: Racing Cars

I was watching Top Gear last night and thought how great it would be to see Chris appear on the show and to watch him do the celebrity lap around the track. I wonder where on the "Lap List" he would appear.

Silverstone Classic - Sir Stirling Moss and Chris Rea

I was surfing the net looking for what Chris might be doing over the summer especially with racing and came across this item. Silverstone Classic: Star Entries Include Sir Stirling Moss and Chris Rea A fantastically diverse grid of sportscars – plus some very famous names behind the wheels – is prom...

Re: Chris Rea song or album with special memories

Hi Kev I can just imagine the moment as that is an amazing piece of music and one of my favourites. My first recollection of hearing Chris is nowhere near as dramatic or memorable but still remains as a special moment for me. I was at a summer BBQ with friends and in the background the song "On...

Re: Tour Reports 2010

After 33 hours of flying and sitting in airports I finally got back home to New Zealand and went straight to bed for some much needed sleep. Well the tour is now over but not forgotten. My memories of the concert in Dublin will live on and I am so pleased I travelled so far to see him. Thanks Tina f...

Re: Fav Lyrics...

I love these words from the song "You must follow" from La Passione. It is so descriptive and you can just close your eyes and imagine the scene. To me Chris is a poet who is so brilliant he can put his words to music. :D I recall the fleeting glimpse of light That smiled across a sky of d...

Shadows of the big man

I've been listening to Blue Cafe CD lately and really like this song but don't know the background to this song and what it's about. Can anyone give me some clues as to what this is about? Oh you've been so long In the shadows of the big man How long can you take it How far can you go Don't you know...

Re: Tour Reports 2010

Thanks Kev for your report. I wait in anticipation for my chance to be there on April 4 in Dublin to see Chris. Was there any sign of merchandise about as I would love to have something to bring back home from the concert?
Cheers

Hi Mary. There are a few of us older fans around, so you're not alone :D . I live in New Zealand and fly over to Dublin in two weeks to see Chris at his concert there. I am lucky enough to be meeting up and sitting with another avid fan so will be able to have some great company to share the fantast...

Re: Guess The Title

Gosh this post is so old but came across it while looking for something else and knew straight away what the song title was. I had been listening to it over the weekend. It is from "Do you believe in love?" which Chris sings with the Vargas Blues Band

What about Soft Top, Hard Shoulder from God's Great Banana Skin. And then there's Driving Home for Christmas that could be included here
