JJ Cale's "Roll On"

Post by Chris »

Hello to you,
A true rock and roll legend, JJ Cale (some people over here probably know about it) released his newest album called "Roll On" on Feb. 24. I bought it in Sarasota before returning to Warsaw, so I have it alright. The Europeans however, would have to wait until the end of March for the release on the continent.
But there is something more interesting about JJ Cale I'd like to share with the members of this forum. He will be going on a mini-tour in a few weeks. He claims in interviews that he "doesn't have to tour" unless he wants to...
I would strongly recommend taking this opportunity to see JJ Cale performing live in California, Oregon, Washington state and the British Columbia in Canada. He will be performing solo, says the announcement on his homepage, appearing in small venues in some cities in northern California, Eugene, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Victoria and several other cities. I regret I cannot travel there to attend one of his gigs.
Perhaps someone from this exclusive club would be going to JJ Cale's concert?
Best regards,
Chris

Hi Jim,
I'm glad I could tip you off. JJ Cale will be both in Vancouver and Victoria but the first event is already sold out, I read. So, perhaps you would have to take a ferry to Victoria? Take a look at the full schedule on his homepage -- http://www.jjcale.com -- (go to "tour".) He will also play Seattle for two nights.
4/7 – Triple Door, Seattle, WA
4/8 – Triple Door, Seattle, WA
4/10 – Capilano College, Vancouver, BC
4/11 – Alix Goolden Hall, Victoria, BC
Take care,
Chris

hi together,
i wish i could see J.J. live once again. I saw him in 1994 on the 'closer to you' Tour.
He is not very often in europe, that's bad...because he is a fantastic guitar player and i like his new album.
