TOM JONES - PRAISE & BLAME

Post by Mr_Blues »

Something what I thought I would never say, but Tom´s new album is really good,
mixing in gospel, blues, rock and roll and country the way it should be done.

here´s few samples:

Yes, indeed. He's "finally done something he always wanted to do", he admitted. His voice is still strong and deep. He stopped coloring his hair, though...
I like this CD a lot. And he's got good reviews in our press and electronic media alike.
From the videos on Youtube one can gather that he worked in the studio with great passion and the result is just excellent. Also, he was not afraid to publish this CD in the middle of the summer.
Take care,
Chris

yeah, and i´m glad he did not do another radio friendly crap....
man at his age should not try to be 30 or 40 years younger, not musically or with hair color :D

Yep, wanted to download it a couple of days ago, but somehow didn't. Two songs i like. Sound a bit like Johnny Cash, which is the obvious to state but also true.

I've listen to some tracks on the official site - it's nice, but you know, after all styles he tried (even R'n'B), I simply don't believe him when he sings about truth, 'to stand up for what's right', church, gospel etc. I know he didn't right these songs, and I don't believe he believes in what he sang. That being said, the album feels a bit empty, callous...

You should remember that his career started with this style of music.....
And even Chris has messed around with computer sounds, so....
