GOLD

A friend recently asked me about a CD she had seen on ebay called GOLD. It would appear to contain tracks from about 1988 to 1993. Does anybody know anything about this. To me it would appear to be a home made compilation that someone is trying to sell to an unsuspecting public.

Did it say it was a compilation of many artists ?
Sometimes they do that and put 1 Chris Rea song on it hence it comes up under Chris Rea.
I've never heard of a Chris Rea CD by that name.

THere are alot of these best of's from Bulgaria /Russia etc.
THe word that i get is they are legal there but nowhere else.
I've bought a few of these compilations and they were all produced there.
THe risk you run is that they may be confiscated @ the border by customs.
Mine were delivered no problem but you never know.
There are no shortages of Chris Rea Best Of's (we all know that all too well) why not buy The Works for example.

Thanks for all your replies. There is no way I would ever buy this. I have everything he has ever officially released and quite a few concert recordings as well. I was asked about this particular recording because she knew I had a lot of Chris Rea and thought I might know about it. This time I had to admit I did not know. With all the information I now have, I shall steer her away from it.

Thanks again.
