Hi all,

I thought I'm the only one who reacts verbally to the type of music and tunes being played in supermarkets, media stores and shopping malls which sprang like mushrooms after the rain all over this country. I must say, to my surprise, they do play here Chris Rea's music occasionally. I've heard "The Road to Hell", "Texas", "Josephine". "Julia" and (yes!) "Driving Home for Christmas." When I'm with someone who doesn't know, I always remark: "just listen to it; it's Chris Rea's song!" But the usual response I get (including my wife) is: "aha...", "oh?", "well, that's interesting."
Lily: Happy Thanksgiving Day to you!
Regards to all,
Chris

Behind the guarded walls I used to go
Upon a summer wind there's a certain melody
Takes me back to the place that I know

Number 53 in the UK chart listed here... http://www.theofficialcharts.com/top40_singles.php though I'm not sure of the dates because the new chart was announced today and HALLELUJAH is at number 1+2 by alexandra Burke and Jeff Buckley respectively.
could this be true, could this be me..

Hi all,
in Germany a big department store chain for chlothes use Chris song "Driving home..." for their christmas advertising at the moment. And when you order something you get a Chris Rea CD as a gift. Chris Rea as a giveaway - how do you like this idea?

Merry Christmas (Bart, I would like to place a Christmas-Smiley here)
