I'm sure this must have been mentioned already, but just a reminder that Chris is on the Jools Holland show on BBC radio2 tonight at 10.30 uk time.

Yes, I agree, great interview! A funny version of "Still so Far to Go" with saxophones :) It was also great to hear the music Chris likes.

Well, I wouldn´t call this funny. What´s so funny about it??? :)
Good version of the song, has a bit more soul in it, not anymore straight rockin´ blues.
Hard to tell, which version I like more...
Too many good words to add here.
I better just sit back and drink beer. :)

You all can listen again on:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00738f4

I like the new version of the song, but chris with his own band and rocking blues is still better in my opgnion.

But they had a lot of fun at jools show... :D

Hi all,

Well, there are interviews and interviewers and there is Jools Holland on the BBC radio 2. I must say that I was deeply moved by Nina Simone's "My Father" song picked by Chris Rea as a piece of music which, in turn, influenced his style, the kind of music he used to play and he's still playing.
The saxophone on his new song "Come so far" is great. It adds some vigor to it. It's definitely a pick-up on "I can't dance to that."
The program on BBC was very good. I wish other stations could follow the British example. One can sense the good taste (German: "Wir sind arm, aber mit Geschmack" - Voltaire) in it.
Best regards to all,
Chris

And the second song he chose was just great too!

Hi Elangelo,
Yeah, some music just touches your soul. One's "dusha", you know...
Chris would probably say: "it goes deep down inside of you."
The second tune picked by Chris was also very good, indeed.
Take care,
Chris

I listened last night, used the link from Lily's Facebook page for Chris. Totally enjoyed it, great to hear him relaxed and enjoying himself.
Jools did offer for him to come back to discuss the music books some time. :D
could this be true, could this be me..

Listened to the interview with Chris and found it interesting, also liked the two songs that Chris likes listening to. Thanks very much for inserting the link, otherwise, I would have missed it completely.
