Seems like more announcements coming soon. I think new album will be out in September-November and the tour structure will be like Stony Road Tour (Europe fall 2002, UK leg winter 2003)

As his Tour has a name of a song from the latest Album, it think it's clear we musn't ecpect to much.
Still excited if I will be able to get tickets though. Mixed feelings here.
I hope for new material and projects!

indeed a bit strange to name the tour after old song.....creepy text also about the hits....really pray about new album and lot of new stuff on the set list. Some bands play whole albums in their set lists, how about all new album which would be played on live during the next tour??

I am starting to think that with this name - The Last Open Road - Chris refers not to his 1999/2011 song, but to the book with such name he once mentioned in early 2008 German interview. Take a look and recall:

On his current tour "The Last Open Road" is Chris Rea before his latest project "La Passione" for which the release is scheduled in September. "La Passione" contains several CD's and DVD's, set in a book, including the tracks "When The Grey Skies Turn To Blue" & "Girl in a Sportscar".
