Hi all,
I would hate to spoil for anyone the pleasure of watching and listening to this interesting interview, therefore I won't go into any details. Let me just reveal this much: I learned that Chris is working hard, every day, in the historical Abbey Road studio and writes songs every day. He said he's "working on a new project" and that it's going to be blues. Towards the of the program he thanked the interviewer for "this intelligent interview". So, he himself was pleased with the outcome. On the negative note: some people might, perhaps, find annoying or even feel offended by Chris chewing gum as he answers questions or sing a capella "stood still on a highway, I saw a woman by the side of the road..." (Road To Hell), a typical gospel song, as he pointed out.
Best regards to everyone,
Chris

Yes I found it to be a very interesting interview as well !
As far as the gum chewing I've noticed he does this in almost every interview & on stage.
I wonder if related to all the medication he takes (dry mouth) or if just what he does ?
Thanks for the link & enjoy the interview
Jim

My guess would be a nicotine gum because the doctor could have said that Chris must give up smoking, and maybe Chris gets nervous when giving an interview. Or this could be some other medicine.

I think nicotin gum, since he still smokes...

Hello friends!

I got myself an offline copy of the entire video recording of Chris's appearance on Vintage TV Needle Time with Neil McCormick at Abbey Road (recorded 2015-10-28, 1st broadcast 2016-01-12).

To get a download link please contact me directly on my e-mail andrew-fischer@yandex.ru

I may also offer the scan of December paper issue of The Blues Magazine with the big article on Chris ("Straight shooter", see the text here: http://chrisrea.nl/community/viewtopic. ... 146#p13146) with 4 large new pictures and a bonus page unavailable online (see it here: http://chrisrea.nl/community/viewtopic. ... 201#p13200)

Best wishes
Andrey

Hi all,

thanks to Anneke Holman (Ann268) and Athena Matsagou (Blue Channel on YouTube), I got a link to the new interview published in Guitar & Bass on Fri, Mar 18th, 2016: http://www.guitar-bass.net/interviews/chris-rea/

Chris talks and poses at his late home, same as December interview for The Blues Mag. Good to see The Blue Seven next to Chris again (judging by the wheels, apparently not a vintage one)!

As the magazine's name suggests, Chris talks in details on guitars, amps, techniques, etc., the old and the new. Once again there's a mistaken statement that Pinky was Chris's 1st Strat, bought in 1979, but by that time Chris had been playing a brown Strat with "Benny" handwriting on it for at least 2 years.

The names of the interviewer and the photographer are not mentioned on the article page.
