Thank you Ann for sharing the link. This article says a lot.
I just hope Chris will be able to finish the tour.
I would be satisfied with the new recordings, without the exhausting tour.
I wish him well regardless what he does.
Take care,
Chris

That's just so sad! Maybe Chris also needs the album simply to earn money, although he says he just recorded some songs and liked the outcome. Anyway, I'm sure we all feel for him. I'm really worried about the tour, can he manage it? Is it necessary to put yourself under such pressure given the health condition? The tours are about making 'a few bob', as Chris put it in one of the earlier interviews, but to risk his life for it...

As for the album, I still would have chosen a different direction for it, do something like what Johnny Cash or Tom Jones did, when they recorded marvellous albums with 'songs sung by an old man'. At this age you can sing covers, even miss notes and everyone will still get extatic.

Very sad, indeed. The upcoming tour might be the last one as it will get harder and harder to keep up with the life on the road and the busy tour schedule.

Also interesting to read in this article - and sad, as well - that some business things got messed up. I wonder what this could be? Maybe negotiations with the record company or some stuff like that?

BTW I'm really puzzled since Chris said in this article he recorded some demos on a recording device and this would explain the rather dull sound in the snippets - but the record company emphasized his album was recorded at Metropol studios with a band - in contrast to the former records.

Anyway, instead of trying to play the instruments by himself he should have given these tasks to the other band members and he should have focussed on wriring and singing these tunes - just my opinion.

Great idea, this also would work for Chris, I guess.

What you all say about songs sung by an old man, not Chris his style I guess.
He did a great Bubabalooba at Jools his show, there are more of those and you have a new album.
I have the feeling he thinks that is to easy and also think it's not for the money he still works.
He was difficult in the past, when it came to his music, he stated in several interviews, Joan must be a Saint with this man. I think he is that at home now. Old habits are hard to change.
I hope he will enjoy Touring...

One thing about his health, I thought he was not supposed to drink alcohol, think he said something like that around Stony Road? But now there is pints and pubs in the picture. Hopefully he manages with the tour, must be hard thing to do in his condition.

Concerned about this article yesterday I communicate with a close friend of Chris to ask about his health and he said that he is well. Now on vacation. Just before his fragile health I wonder why the need to go on tour. And it is strange that his family Do not be inflexible with this. Or it may be that it is not so bad. Whatever God bless him

Oh yes, Be-bop-a-loola was great! But I know we will never see a recording like this, of course

yeah, Jools Holland was in charge, Chris was a guest who sung the song and he had nothing to do with how the band played etc. really would be interesting to hear how his new music would turn out as a result of someone else being in charge with production.

By now everyone knows that it is one snippet / week, this week it will be song called "Two lost souls". Coming later this week.

Title sounds good, hopefully song sounds even better, anyhow it will beat that not so good track "Money", I'm certain of that!

Ok, like I said, new snippet of "Two lost souls" is like from other planet compared to that song "Money". Really like it how it feels. Now this song is really the old school Rea done in these current modern days, should be great one.

this week's snippet seems to be track called "Rock My Soul". This one feels more like newer blues style, just a guess but we will see it later this week.

I really enjoyed that one.
