Gig in Bucharest and another DVD review

Post by Müfo »

Does anybody know something about the gig on 1. november in Bucharest (or was it Budapest???).
There is another DVD review in the German Rolling Stone and it got 4 from 5 possible stars, which is very surprising, cause the Rolling Stone ignored or wrote very bad and silly reviews about Reas last works. Sorry, it`s again in german but I think I should write it down:

Greetings

....not a surprise for me....

Hi Jan,

On November 1, a gig in either Bucharest or Budapest, you say? I wouldn't be surprised. If I'm not mistaken, the other day Bart had mentioned something about "a possible concert in Eastern Europe, perhaps?...."
And that's exactly what I was hopping for. A pleasant surprise for some of his fans. To promote the new CD and DVD.
Take care,
Chris

That's a very nice gesture by Chris Rea to his Romanian fans. I think Romania was picked for he had never been there before. But then again, I might be wrong.

Romanian is one of the Romance languages (just as Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish.) They are all derived from vulgar Latin, therefore, I think any of our Italian, Spanish, French or Portuguese friends could help us translate this information from the Romanian page....

The thing is that although the Bucharest concert has been known/talked about, the organisers didn't provide a certain date, more than this, they have stated that they were been discussing with Mr Rea about the concert, but there was nothing sure/settled.

Did some digging, and it seems that th eBucharet concert was to take palce but was cancelled due to health conditions :(
