Chris on BBC Radio 2

Post by Peter S... »

Hi,

Chris was on the Johnnie Walker show on Radio 2 today.

Hit the link below to catch the show for one week only, fast forward to about 43 mins and enjoy.

Chris mentions that he will NOT be at Glastonbury.

Between the eyes of love I call your name
Behind the guarded walls I used to go
Upon a summer wind there's a certain melody
Takes me back to the place that I know
Down on the beach

Thank you very much for this link.
Chris Rea makes at least two important points:
- he says "the Delmonts go Italia" (which apparently could mean he will be touring Italy?)
- he announces that "the next Delmonts will be on vinyl only."
So, for him the Delmonts are actually more important than the FHBN.
Take care,
Chris

Peter S. Thank You great interview !
I do recall after Blue Guitars C.R. said there were many other CD's he could have done -including Italian Blues !
Perhaps this will be the updated version ? No matter -I'm sure we'll all follow him what ever direction he goes .THank goodness i've dusted off the turntable it sounds like lots of vinyl to come !

Hello Peter,

I just visited the chrisrea.com page and noted that the information, in the "news" section, about Chris playing at the Glastonbury in June, had simply - disappeared!
The "Delmonts going Italia" could also mean that Chris will be gradually completing a global blues map. He said, for instance, that on the Blue Guitars he missed out on flamenco blues and latter added that - in his opinion - Peter Tchaykowski also played blues!
Regards,
Chris
