ive read quite a lot of interviews with chris, and seen him in interviews on screen. Chris has mentioned several times about tuning to open E.

However, there was an interview with him after that awful road to hell part 2 album, where he says he is slowly starting to get to grips wth playing in standard tuning. Wether thats up to date and true now, im not sure. However, when playing some of chris's songs on guitar, i do believe some strings are re tuned. ever so slightly.hehe.

Hope that helps, in some small way?

hey just don't call the RTH2 awful) as for me, I like some tracks, and they really fit the mood sometimes, as that was kind of a depression album...
I think that he still uses the open E tuning, times changed since RTH2... Not always though, 'cause on Blue Street there's a track called Big C, it's probably the tuning...
Don't cry, baby don't cry
The worst is gone....
