The man The voice The guitar
I get it Zgred, It started in American Rap, Vanilla Ice to be specific!Zgred wrote:"Word"
I don't like it when Chris says that about a lot of things!! Himself, his voice, his concerts.Zgred wrote:and I don't like it when Chris Rea says he doesn't like it.
..........typical perfectionist , Chris Rea is not alone, as you often hear of musicians who actually don't like certain things ...........Jimi Hendrix was so embarrassed about his singing voice , that he would face the wall in the studio rather than have the other band members see him singZgred wrote:and I don't like it when Chris Rea says he doesn't like it.
Speaking of hand sign, I was actually tempted to put another altered picture instead of simple "Word." but... it's been risky round here...lilybee wrote:(you know, with the hand sign that goes with it), I always thought it was ridiculously funny!
I guess you already know the real, true classic:lilybee wrote:Ok, I couldn't resist, here's another real stupid one by Jim Carrey (he's so funny!)

He says it all the time. And the reason he gives is that he could have done it better!! Go figure.

Of course not. You're welcomed to the Delegalized and Oppressed RTH part 2 Fan Clubalan1958 wrote:p.s is it to late to say that I listen to RTH p2 more than part 1
No not to describe that word I just like MORE than one word thats all. What was funny was the way it was just the one word.Zgred wrote:Dear Tina
Zgred!! Whats with this "DEAR" no one ever addresses me as "Dear"

Totally agree with you Zgred.Zgred wrote:One more point, he doesn't really complain about his health, and having half of the stomach removed, and still doing what he's doing... ULTRA BIG RESPECT. The man's tough and determined as hell.
Is it even possible to not call a person like you "dear" ?Tina3 wrote:Zgred!! Whats with this "DEAR" no one ever addresses me as "Dear"
True.Tina3 wrote:No not to describe that word I just like MORE than one word thats all. What was funny was the way it was just the one word.
Hi Tina -Tina3 wrote:I know these songs BUT I didn't know Chris combined them together to make Are You Ready. How do you find out pieces of information like that?imagemkr wrote:and on Blue Street (Five Guitars), there are three songs - Piano Break, Still Going To A Go Go, and Are You Ready, that CR combined into just 'Are You Ready' for the Blue Guitars (Gospel, Soul Blues and Motown) CD.
Agree, too... "CR: Every time I look at myself, or listen to myself live, I just run away."Tina3 wrote:lilybee wrote:I don't like it when Chris says that about a lot of things!! Himself, his voice, his concerts.

Totally agree.Chris is never happy with what he does. It's as Alan says he is just a total perfectionist and nothing will ever be good enough for someone that fussy.
Tina, let me recommend you Man on the Moon or the five-star movie Number 23, the latest 'serious' role of Jim Carrey... but if you don't like thrillers here's another: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Don't miss it! Carrey's performance simply shocked me, and I have to tell you I don't like him so much in comedies. Great story, great actors (including Kate Winslet and Tom Wilkinson), great emotions and (finally! ) Jim Carrey showing his talents. Five-stars plus.Tina3 wrote: I love Jim Carrey.I wonder what he would be like if he had a serious roll.I bet he would be fanastic.I think he is the kind of actor that could do any roll.
The main reason why we haven't had any official live recording before TRTH&B is that he hates to hear himself live. In a way I can understand it, I hate to hear my voice on a recording or see myself on video. It's a shame, because a Delmonts live CD/DVD would have sold millions.Zgred wrote:and I don't like it when Chris Rea says he doesn't like it.
Ah-ha!blueskev wrote:[...] for me it is 80% new stuff and I can't remember the last time I listened to RTHP2. There were a couple of songs that I liked but I was disappointed with it.
