Was this instrumental written for anything specific? All I know is that the Pantiles are an area of Tunbridge in Kent. All you get if you google it is lists of lyrics! ,even on a Chris de Burg site along with The Road To Hell,
Josephine and many more!

Like you, I have wondered about this song ( instrumental ) that I first heard as a "B" side on the Looking for the Summer CD Single from the Auberge Album.

I have done web searches, etc looking for a TV programme or film listing to match but with no success.

My own theory is this - Chris often talks about how he would love to do Film scores or TV music and I just think he decided to create his own fictional version of something.

I really like the tune and felt it reminded me of something that could have ben from some "Rural Whodunnit" type detective programme with it's laid back, almost jazzy feel.

I'm surprised that no one has actually ever decided to use it for TV !

Anyway, that's my theory.
