Just found the following link on the BBC for an old concert, recorded at the BBC Paris theatre, London in 1980.

Hi Mark and thank you, this is rather well known Chris's audio bootleg which was previously available in perfect quality thanks to several broadcast discs sold on Ebay and some webshops. Chris plays Deltics and Tennis stuff on it, songs not available live on any other record. Some years ago it was reportedly one of the most expensive Chris Rea bootleg on the market (ca. 300 USD), then it moved fast to the torrents. Good to see BBC put it on their site for official use, hope they release it as official disc one day (maybe as a part of a bigger box with other Chris's performances for BBC). In my archive this concert's recording/broadcast date is put as August 1980.Mark wrote:Just found the following link on the BBC for an old concert, recorded at the BBC Paris theatre, London in 1980. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08p16c2

Hi Tobias, I am completely sure it is all the same BBC In Concert show from August 1980 at London's Paris Theater, BBC Transcription Service radio library LP cat. # CN3635/S (broadcast disc # IC0233.2). And yes, it is long since present on YouTube and yes, they only 1980 Chris Rea live recording I know of.tobi777 wrote:Hi Mark, thanks! It might be the concert you can find on Youtube if you search for "chris rea concert 1980" - at least that's the only recording by the BBC from 1980 I am aware of. Maybe someone from the UK can record and compare?
