Hello all,
Great news! Thank you Ann for it. At last a new tour!
Never mind we would have to wait for it until November.
Hopefully, there will be a new album out, as well?
All the best to other Chris Rea's fans,
Chris

Seems like more announcements coming soon. I think new album will be out in September-November and the tour structure will be like Stony Road Tour (Europe fall 2002, UK leg winter 2003)

best regards

Hi all, meanwhile first official concert posters appear:

Paris, Olympia, the 22nd of November

To be honest, I am not cheered up with the line in French reading:
"retrouvez tous ses plus grandes titres en live" / "find all his greatest songs live".

Please be it not the same as London Blues Fest 2013!!!

Any thoughts on this?...

best regards

Hi Andrey,

As his Tour has a name of a song from the latest Album, it think it's clear we musn't ecpect to much.
Still excited if I will be able to get tickets though. Mixed feelings here.
I hope for new material and projects!
Keep up your hope Andrey!
Best regards,
Anneke

indeed a bit strange to name the tour after old song.....creepy text also about the hits....really pray about new album and lot of new stuff on the set list. Some bands play whole albums in their set lists, how about all new album which would be played on live during the next tour?? :)

Hi all again,

I am starting to think that with this name - The Last Open Road - Chris refers not to his 1999/2011 song, but to the book with such name he once mentioned in early 2008 German interview. Take a look and recall:

"Aujourd’hui, l’artiste travaille à l’écriture d’un nouvel ouvrage dont on attend plus de détails d’ici peu."

http://fr.livenation.be/event/517442/chris-rea-tickets

"I have already begun three other books. We will extend the draft with DVDs. A book deals with street culture and calls "The Last Open Road". There give it different music styles to the most different streets, under it, by the way, also to Alpine routes. The other calls "On The Beach" and is dedicated to all different beach cultures. One can hear it and see: The beaches of the Indian ocean, Australia, and also those of the Baltic Sea."

viewtopic.php?f=34&t=1073&p=4633&hilit=Last+Open+Road+street+culture#p4633

I really do hope for the best - the long awaited new material and the longer awaited books!!!

best regards

Hi everyone here,

first UK date added, and it is still 2014, not 2015 as I supposed.

http://www.songkick.com/concerts/200972 ... avids-hall

Cardiff, St. David's Hall, the 15th of December

waiting for more on this list...

Nothing is going like it usually goes, new management? I vaguely remember that he changed from record label.
But I can't find this back. Just waiting till the official announcement. Still no official things on his FB site or chrisrea.com.
